Don't look now but a starting 5 of

Jeremy Lin
DeAngelo Russell
DeMarre Carroll
Mosgov
Rhonde Hollis Jefferson

with backups of
Joe Harris
Sean Kilpatrick
Chris LaVert
Trevor Booker
Spencer Dinwiddie

isn't the worst team of all time by any means, especially in the East

Add a free agent.....if that team stays healthy...and others don't....getting mildly nervous
So many ifs though...also Lin is likely to leave
Jaylen Brown for All-NBA

I definitely do not expect Brooklyn to be as bad as they were last year. I can see a few teams worse than them. LAL-SAC-PHX all will be bad, possibly worse, especially playing in the West. Brooklyn might still be bottom 5 though.

Either way, I'm not terribly concerned about it, we already got our prize (Tatum).  That's a franchise cornerstone type player right there.

Why is Lin likely to leave?  He's under contract and I don't think they'd get much for him in a trade.

Here's how I see regular season records in each conference.  Broke them into rough tiers.

3) Raptors
4) Wizards
5) Bucks
6) Heat

7) Sixers
8) Hornets
9) Pistons

10) Pacers
11) Bulls
12) Magic
13) Knicks
14) Hawks
15) Nets

West:
1) Warriors
2) Spurs
3) Rockets

4) Thunder
5) Clippers

6) Nuggets
7) Twolves
8) Trailblazers
9) Jazz
10) Grizzlies
11) Mavs
12) Pelicans

13) Kings
14) Lakers
15) Suns

I love the Celtics but I think you have these reversed.

How did the OP compile his list?

Also, why are the teams between 16 and 24 missing?

Regular season record.  Not overall team quality.  Not reversed.

they disbanded them.  ;D
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I suppose the Nets could be better than last year, but I am curious what it is about their lineup that makes you nervous? The starters are all basically rotation players on a typical team.  Not saying Russell, RHJ, Lin, Mosgov aren't NBA starters, but these are 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th guys on a good team.  Would Russell be the 3rd best player on any playoff team?  Maybe he grows this year. DMC wouldnt start on most teams. Booker a very good bench guy.  Not seeing it.

Its true though. I expect the Cavs to do the same thing this year, coast during the regular season. We are talking about records (since we are talking about the draft picks) not who will likely be in the finals.

What have the Lakers done that makes anyone think they have gotten any better from last year?
They are still a very bad team.

They did acquire Brook Lopez When Healthy, he's not bad.

One of the worst one on one defenders in the league, terrible rebounder for his size and was the best player on a team that won 20 games last year.  Yeah, not bad.
