The trade as reported doesn't work under Cap rules  either or the espn trade machine http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine or on real GM trade checker

We need to receive more salary in return

Bradley earning 8.8 million and Morris is 5 million, we must be sending someone else too

Aren't both teams under the cap?

Guess not. lol

Maybe the ESPN website hasn't updated regarding Detroits roster (much like the Boston one hasn't either)

Does the trade machine take into account the new CBA rules which changed the salary you could take back to 175% rather than 150% + 100K?

Real GM trade checker also says that it won't work.

Yeah, and if Detroit adds someone that person needs to have a voidable contract because we need to cap space.

Detroit can take back $5,000,000 x 1.75 + $100,000 = $8,850,000

Avery makes $8,808,989

$8,850,000 > $8,808,989

The trade works fine.

Awesome. Thanks.  I've been waiting for someone to explain this.

ESPN and RealGM need to update their stuff.

They do. It's not like it's a hard fix.

So when did it change from 1.25 to 1.75?  That was my confusion.
