I would they they got better, substituting ball and lopez for russell and mozgov...
I agree that if Lopez stays healthy they definitely improved.
The Lakers intend to trade Lopez. Also, I would argue that the Lakers got less good than a few of the teams ahead of them. The West is going to be that much more difficult, so even marginal improvement won't show in wins and losses much.
I do agree with that statement but where do you come up with the Lopez trade?
