Gone Bradley. Best Rebounding season ever. Rozier will basically cover what we lost with Bradley as far as rebounding, that is currently his best NBA Skill
. Kelly soft as pudding Olynyk was never a great rebounder, neither is Morris so that's a wash.
Tatum is a 7rpg type talent when he does get the minutes he will be a very good rebounder. Great length, excellent hands and a knack for positioning. Brown also figures to get a spike in minutes and Production. Expect 5rpg from Jaylen this year.
Zizic is slow and has not looked great. You know what he has not looked like? Small. Dude is huge and the one skill he brings right now is rebounding. He will be a 10 rebounds per 36 guy. If he can get 18 mpg that should be another 5rpg.
This team is stacked with guys in the 6'7" height range. Hayward and Yabu are two more guys that figure into the rebounding solution as well. 5rpg for Hayward and though Yabu won't get many minutes, he will help when he does play.
Here is Ainge talking about how it's great to have an awesome center but you don't need one and centers come with a different set of problems.
They’re both young and from foreign countries and don’t even speak the language perfectly,” Ainge said, “but, yeah, I think they have a chance to add to our rebounding.
“But so do I think, Jaylen (Brown) and Jayson Tatum. I think both of those guys are outstanding rebounders. You know, everyone just assumes rebounding is you go get a center who can rebound and then all your problems are solved. That certainly can help, but a lot of times that creates problems on the other end, unless that guy is really, really skilled. Then you have Shaquille O’Neal or Wilt Chamberlain.
“I like what I saw in Jaylen the second half of last year, and I like what I see in Jayson Tatum. I like what I saw of Jayson even in college, how well he rebounds. Same with Jaylen.”
