Isaiah says "The refs were allowing them to hold and grab and do all those things" in Game 4.

I watched on TNT OT, which doesn't always provide the best camera angles (and not replays) so I could be wrong on this but last night it looked more like Thomas was doing a lot of throwing himself into the paint without much hope of a shot and praying he would get fouled and the refs didn't fall for it.

IT has an almost preternatural ability to finish around the rim, even with much bigger guys. But when he's getting triple teamed in the paint, he's gotta keep the dribble alive and find the open man.

That said, it might not hurt to work the refs a little.  ;)

I didn't watch much of the game, since it coincides with toddler bedtime.

But early on, it seemed like the Wizards were overloading the top of the paint to stop drives and Amir could have had a field day just camping under the hoop for wide open dunks.

Yet, he only played 12 minutes the entire game...

We hardly got any calls inside last night until the game was out of reach.

The refs decide whether or not those bumps inside are "fouls" or not. A lot of those turnovers turn into fast-break points at the other end (21 points off of TO's for the Wiz in the third quarter last night).

IMO it was one-sided, but got overshadowed by our awful play, and by the John Wall love-fest in the TNT booth.

We will get a better whistle at home.

It is very rare that he doesn't get to the FT line once. As a team though, Stevens needs to tell them that too.

I did see a lot of holding and grabbing especially coming off picks.  Just call it on both sides. IT definitely initiates contact on his drives but he does this every game.  Why stop calling it now?  It's a foul many times on the defensive player, not always.  But never in this game?  Come on now.  Call it both ways or don't call it.  Wall was getting those calls...

100% correct, yet it still frightens me that we would have a game plan that would rely on AJ.

I mean, you don't need to go into the game thinking "we'll toss it to Amir and he'll dunk all night". But you have to recognize it when it's there, and our team doesn't seem very good in going off-script...
