Wish the C's had this guy. He always seems to kill the C's when he plays. He'd probably be a great fit in the system to boot.

Atlanta only gets better with this move.  Too bad for Philly, he fit in really well there

I assume Philly wanted to focus on Saric SF, with Simmons at PF and Embiid at C.  They probably felt Ilyasova didn't have a whole lot of use for them as an older guy (relatively speaker, by Sixers standards).  Probably felt he deserved to go to a better team where he could compete.

maybe the Sixers will do the Okafor for Mirotic rumored trade now.  Just needed to clear out Ilyasova so Mirotic could get some minutes.

I doubt it. They have Saric and Simmons, no need for Mirotic

Ilyasova > Mirotic
He is definitely a better shooter, but Mirotic is grabbing a higher percentage of rebounds and is 4 years younger.  I imagine Philly is pushing for something else aside from Mirotic, which I'm sure why the trade hasn't happened yet.
