I mean, who knows?

Looking at the FA market: KD, Curry, Hayward, Griffin, Noel, Lowry - ALL likely staying with their current teams.
Ainge has said he didn't want to sign Ibaka long term.
So who is left really? Millsap? Otto Porter Jr.?
If you add Melo instead via trade, and maybe have another trade in place for a cheap rebounding BIG, is that a contender? I think so.More importantly, Melo's trade value is low right now so the C's could get him without surrendering BKN picks or Smart or Brown likely.
Also in a report by The Vertical earlier, the C's said they had only minimal interest in Anthony because they had hopes they could trade for Butler or PG13. But now they probably realize their prices are astronomically high, and they may not even be available (PG13 likely untouchable to Bird). So they could look the Melo route again as an option.
