Just put a four-way trade in the ESPN Trade Machine, and it worked. I've never posted before, but I'm curious what everyone's thoughts are on this trade. Here's the link:
http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=gw2en2u This trade makes sense for all teams involved:
BOS Gives: Avery Bradley, Jae Crowder, Jaylen Brown, Amir Johnson, Terry Rozier, 2018 Nets Pick, 2017 Nets Pick
BOS Receives: Jimmy Butler, Paul George, Nik Stauskas, and Robert Covington
IND Gives: Paul George, Jeff Teague
IND Receives: Terry Rozier, Jaylen Brown, Jahlil Okafor, 2017 Nets Pick
CHI Gives: Rajon Rondo, Jimmy Butler, Nikola Mirotic
CHI Receives: Jae Crowder, Jeff Teague, Nerlens Noel, Amir Johnson, 2018 Nets Pick
PHI Gives: Jahlil Okafor, Nerlens Noel, Robert Covington, Nik Stauskas
PHI Receives: Rajon Rondo, Avery Bradley, Nikola Mirotic
Boston comes out with a formidable stating lineup of IT, Butler, George, Horford, and Olynyk, along with a bench of Smart, Covington, Stauskas, Jerebko, and Zeller. While losing Bradley, Crowder, and other blue chip prospects and chips hurts, this trade is exactly why Danny has these chips. This team instantly becomes the favorites in the East as well as possibly challenging the Warriors. Smart could come off the Bench to guard Curry, and Butler and George matchup with Klay and KD. Throw in Horford on Green, and the Celtics become a very tough opponent for the Warriors.
Indiana starts their rebuilding process by dealing George, but receive two blue-chip prospects in Brown and Okafor, in addition to Terry Rozier. They may need another pick or two to do the deal, but by receiving Brown and Okafor, they have very solid young pieces to build around Myles Turner.
Chicago completely blows up their roster, and they can build a team around Dwayne Wade. A lineup of Teague, Wade, Crowder, Noel, and Lopez isn't exactly championship caliber, but can definitely make a playoff push. Throw in a lottery pick in 2018, and with that pick they can pick up their new face of the franchise. This trade also gives Chicago plenty of cap room to make a move the summer, and pair some players up with Dwayne Wade.
Philadelphia picks up some very strong guards in Rondo and Bradley. A lineup of Rondo, Bradley, Simmons, Mirotic, and Embiid could make some noise in the conference, and a pick and roll of Rondo and Embiid could be very strong.
What are your thoughts? Who says no?
