Clay, I'm not sure if bringing up race is similar to how talking about how short IT is. He's at a disadvantage b/c of his height. You can say, "they're picking on his height", or "wow, IT is an amazing athlete who is overcoming his disadvantage". Your pick.
I took the OP's comments as the latter. Only SVG is shorter. Gives context to how short IT is.
Ok well what about my other examples of just bringing up his weight or hair length. Both of these are about as equally relevant to anything as the height of coaches in the NBA. It's bizarre to bring in another occupation that doesn't have anything to do with height to just to compare them to IT.
I understand there are a ton of legit reasons to discuss IT's height/length in a topic including
How he compares to historically small players statistically
What do players shoot near the rim when being guarded by him
What do players shoot from 3 against him
How does his block percentage compare to much taller players
What is the average career peak of someone that is historically small by NBA standards
What percentage of his shots are blocked compared to other players
Has there every been a player within 2 inches of his height that drew as many fouls
How does his contested shots at the rim compare to other small/tall players
I mean these are all actually kind of interesting. The heights of coaches seems just like
pointing out that IT is short by real life standards which is kind of a weird reason to have a topic.
Again this isn't going to ruin my life, I just don't understand the point and some may find it a little obnoxious.
