While watching the Spurs and  Celtics most recent game, my mind srarted to wander into 'what if' land.

Why is Pop able to get that kind of performance out of David Lee and Brad could not?

Why didnt we throw a pile of money at Pao Gasol?

Is our offensive system the reason a SG leads the team in rebounds?

Why do our bigs stand at the 3pt line even after setting picks?

Would Al Horford benefit significantly from playing next to a legit center?

All of these topics have been addressed  in some fashion on this site. I dont think the answers are being recognized by  everyone. I have to question our continued obsession  with 3pt shooting small ball. It is clear to me that we should attack the basket more and when we do, dunk the ball.  We seem to shoot soft layups that are blocked or often missed when we do take the ball inside.

This all probably just me.  Feel free to disagree. 😀 wish i had the answers.

I will continue to fantasize about post scoring and defensive rebounds.

david lee admitted he came to camp in bad shape and overweight
-too much partying after winning his ring-
spent too much time in las vegas then off to europe with celts

it was said our starters have had about 200 minute together healthy
and it has shown  with poor communication and disjointed play-

We play like we think we are better than what we are because of our success last year.   Once, it sets in we are not and they get back to playing like last year things might change.   I honestly, do not think  we attract a big free agent, because we have took a step back whereas last year, we were an up and coming team.

I agree that injuries play a part in the overall team performance. They also hurt cohesiveness and make it harder to execute smoothly.

I agree we may have over achieved  some last year and that has our confidence a little high.

I'm  questioning our philosophy  and style of play.
