Am I the only one who's curious about this? And for anyone who feels left without context:

Quote
“I’m not going to tell you what I told him. If he wants to bring it up, that’s fine,” James told reporters after the game. “But I think he’s a really good talent and that’s why he was drafted so high. He’s a strong kid. You can see he knows how to play the game.”

Quote
“He just said he’ll see me down the road,” Brown said of James’ words of wisdom. “He said ‘good job,’ and he said some other things that I ain’t gonna mention.”

"You don't have an agent. I'll give you my agent's card, come join me in Cleveland"

Lol, jk. What if he told Jaylen he's better than Simmons, a Nike guy and a guy who's worked out with lebron before?
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

In my mind it went something like this:

JB: Puts out hand "Hey Lebron, its an honor playing with someone of your talent. I feel like just playing against you has made me better, even if it is just a tiny bit."

LJ: Shakes hand, then motions to his head "Keep it up kid, and you can have this crown when Im done with it."

Then Lebron jogs back over to JB and whispers to him "The real secret is not sharing your personal trainer with anybody. Whatever he is doing is definitely working if you are this strong already. Keep working young gun."

Then Lebron ascends back to Valhalla where he can only visit after crazy good games at the moment. He knows that he is having a seat made next to the greats.

"You don't have an agent. I'll give you my agent's card,

This x1000

Jaylen was the one rookie who elected to have the NBPA represent him at the draft.  The way he's playing, I bet lots of sports agencies want a piece of him, Lebron's included.

Hopefully he continues to resist.

I definately wouldn't put that past lebron. He knows the celtics are the enemy and would do  something like that to increase his legacy.  It more just seemed like good  natured talk though. I'd be careful about  that kind of stuff though.

The way the league is now it's great people are friends from other teams but you have to be careful about consorting with the enemy.  It's still a competitive sport. Otherwise you really do end up with everyone playing with Lebron and the rest of the teams suck.

That type of stuff if it ever gets that bad could really destroy the league where teams just can't draw enough revenue to exist and all the money goes to the top teams.

Lebron has gone on record saying he wants less teams too.

A competitive league is a better league in that regard.  The league needs more guys like Paul Pierce and KG.

I wonder what he said to Wiggins after their 1st meeting

"You're not good enough"?

I'm sure he was telling him to join Lebron's sports management agency Klutch Sports

Honestly wouldn't be shocked if it was something along these lines, minus the "Join me in Cleveland" part.

I thought it was more interesting on how Jalen responded when asked about Lebron.

He said that he was very impressed with Lebron on the court, but even more impressed off the court, contributing to the community, staying out of trouble, etc.

Brown is very mature beyond his years.  He was raised very well.  I just really like this kid.

And to think teams were turned off by him not having an agent, speaking his mind, as if he were a trouble maker, rather than just a thoughtful young man.

Proud he is on the Celtics. And that has nothing to do with his basketball talents.

Jaylen is doing very well in two areas that concerned me before: finishing inside, and hitting open shots from deep.

Last night he also showed the potential to be a really good offensive rebounder.  I'd like to see him do more work on the glass.  The team could really use him on the defensive glass.

So far he hasn't really created for others.  That's OK -- I think he'll get there.  He's flashed some floor vision and passing ability.

Overall, he is much further along in his development than I thought he'd be.  I am very impressed.  The Jimmy Butler comparison looks like a good one with Jaylen.  Funny, since many of us wanted to see that pick traded for Butler.
