I don't know about you guys but I love seeing Avery roll around the screen and hit that 2pt jumper that he loves! I use to cringe when he took that shot... I know it's only the beginning of the season but that's his go to shot IMO.. it reminds me of Paul Pierce's elbow jumper as in when he takes it as a fan I'm confident it's going in!

Love seeing Avery's progression as a player!

the shot chart for him last season indicates that he shoots about 40% on those types of shots. this is a bit of guess since it only gives total percentages of all shots from that area.

if this is accurate, then 40% is not bad, but not great. i still wish he would learn to take 1 step further back and turn it into a three pointer.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Eh, it's not really a "learn to do" thing in many cases for him now.  Sometimes you need to step into the midrange to put pressure on the defense so they respond and you can have the ability to make a good pass to the roll man from a correct angle or attack the rim yourself as well.

I think Avery is shooting plenty of threes and doing a good job with that this year.  Earlier in his career I would have agreed with you on this point but I don't see that flaw in his game.    He used to have a lot of long two point shot waste off of dribble hand offs for example in the past seasons when his range wasn't quite there but that has all moved out to three for him now.  His decision making is very sound and he's hugely improved off the dribble this year.

Avery, early in the season, has been playing fantastic. If he keeps it up, he's a legit case for an all star selection, I think.
