incredible part-the word here is part
to have that athletic ability and 36% lifetime from three then there was phoenix
and being part of the highest scoring bench duo with isaiah while hitting 40%
at miami  he expressed his desire to play defense BUT
brad will tell him score points, defense we got
a part like this, can win games and effect other teams defense with his speed in transition and ability to hit three-remember brad and his scouting report-he feared green underlined
also brad can use him on timeouts plays and another option with little time on clock
remember this team is the sum of its parts-watch that chemistry between isaiah and green
i believe green will be the catalyst to some quick flurry of points and some last minute heroics and scores off time outs-that produces wins
that makes him an incredible  part  for brad to use, instead of fear

jaylen unproven,hunter yet to produce
,rozier yet to prove himself in rotation, smart had off season shooting ,we hope
green can score thats proven ,can shoot the three thats proven,
a threat in transition, good teammate, chemistry with isaiah thats proven, scores points fast can make opponents leads dissapear quickly-whats that worth
ainge brings in a  vet with specific skills for vet minimum
-giving brad options and rookies some time to adjust while we win
remember last year  injuries or one more win and we would not have been in three team tie-

I can't see Jaylen Brown being ahead of Green on the depth chart, at least to start the season.  Green is a proven NBA player with proven skills, Jaylen has a long way to go but could get there by next season.  Just tempering my own expectations.

after our starters marcus, green, brown are probably our most talented players.  Amir is going to start but play limited minutes.   All our other starters will probably play 30+.  Bradley and Crowder may be limited some this year.    I think Green is one of the top 4-6 players off the bench.  KO and Rozier are going to play too though. Zeller and Jerebko are going to figure in quite a bit too. Even Hunter will get some run.

Minutes are going to fluctuate but if Brad is playing hte best players

1. Isaiah
2. Horford
3. Bradley
4. Crowder
5. Smart
6. Amir
7. Brown
8. Green
9. KO
10. Rozier
11. Zeller
12. jerebko

Something like that.  Green and Browns minutes may fluctuate.  Injuries will happen.  Brown may demand minutes early.

Our team isn't getting less talented so that's good. With guys like Hunter and Mickey waiting in the wings and jackson plus Yabusele stashed and Zizic.  Plus more draft picks.  Roles are going to be established. Green has a real shot here in the interm to solidify himself as a core roleplayer.  He's a better shooter than Turner and can really make plays with his athleticism.

I'm not the world's biggest Kelly Olynyk fan, but that list does him a gross injustice.

Agreed, I'm thinking more like this:

1. IT
2. Crowder
3. Horford
4. AB
5. Smart
6. KO
7. Amir
8. Rozier
9. Green
10. JJ
11. Brown
12. Zeller

If Rozier continues to develop and Smart's shooting doesn't we could see Rozier leap frog Smart.

I could see Brown and JJ climbing above Green--but I think that's really all based on how quickly Brown can fit in.

He's oozing with talent and gets a second chance here.  We have really good wings.  He's a legit shooter we don't have besides Isaiah and Bradley.  Not the most physical guy.  He makes Olynyk look tough at times but has really started to play the last few years.  His body doesn't seem to have taken the beating in the nba either.  He is still really young.  Don't underestimate Green.

He will be a vital piece off the bench

It will be a battle between brown, crowder, smart, green, rozier for playing time.  Now crowder has the upper hand , but you know never know what happens. CBS has never been "stuck" on a lineup since hired

I think people around here are underestimating how good Horford really is. He's in the running for our best player. I love Crowder but right now, Horford is better. I think like:

1A- Horford
1B- IT
2- Crowder
3- Bradley
4- Smart
5-Olynyk
6- Amir
7- Jerebko
8- Rozier
9- Brown
10- Green
11- Zeller
12- Hunter
13- Jackson

Rozier and Brown could easily move up that list by mid season. But right now, that's how I see it.

I didn't mean to downgrade KO I just put hm there.  Most of our players are so close.  Brown, KO, Green, Amir, Smart etc all kind of are equal right now for different reasons.  Even Jerebko is good.  Green and KO gives us two guys who can shoot it off the bench and are pretty underrated. Both talented guys.

Brown and Smart can really rise.  So can KO and Green though.  KO maybe moreso but both have talent.  Smart and Brown have more of a ceiling.  Amir is just a really solid vet and underrated.  Jerebko is probably a step below that. Rozier can come on too and has a good amount of upside.

We have players who are still getting better.   That's a positive.

I'll rank it again as far as best players with explanation

1. Isaiah - I consider hm our best player until someone unseats him as that.  I think he is that. Particularly as far as leadership, talent, scoring etc..
2. Horford - Big addition. Right on par with Isaiah and has possibly even more presence.  Multiple allstar.  isaiah is a bit younger but as far as talents in the league people could argue Horford is better.
3. Bradley - Rock solid presence who keeps improving. Has some issues with consistency.  HIs upside is limited but good player
4. CRowder - Just as important as bradley and really sets the tone for our physical play.  Maybe even more a tone setter than Bradley  but Bradley just comes out balling.
5. Smart - 3rd year player with upside. VEry good to great defender. Still developing offensively but 6th pick and a lot of promise and talent.   Versatile defensive minded guard.
6. Brown - maybe the future franchise.  He's that good a prospect I feel but has a bit to go.  Tough to put him ahead of Amir because I think he has a ways to go but I will here
7.  Amir - Solid vet and presence.  Good physical player and team oriented player
8 . KO  - Fundamental roleplayer.  Good upside too and has had some issues with consistency.  Bright future and can be even better than that but best developing roleplayer we have. I think KO shows good signs but has to work on b eing more physical.  He has a ton of upside though.
9. Green - See KO although a bit more limited. Probably has as much upside though. Both good scorers.  PRetty equal. KO's future may be brighter.
10. Rozier - Unproven but brings something every time he is out there.  A bit of a mystery still. I think he can be a really solid player and even starter in the nba.  HIs role here is as a solid bench guy and he could be more than that.  Trendsetter off the bench and attack pg.
11. Zeller - tough putting him ahead of jerebko.  Nice backup center.  A bit pricey but who cares.  REasonable and we had the room.
12. jerebko - Hardworker solid roleplayer and well rounded defender and offense 3/4.  Versatile glue guy
13. Hunter - nice wing prospect
14. Mickey - Good mobile defensive glue big prospect
15. jackson - nice pg prospect and offensive point

Not a knock on any of these guys.  I tihnk even with Nader, Yab and Zizic it gets even more interesting plus the picks we have.    I don't think there is a bad player on our roster.

I agree that Horford is top 2 on the team I'm basing PT on giving him a little less than Crowder do to age and keeping him healthy. He is clearly a better player than Crowder.

For someone missing a finger, his dunking skills is amazing.  I'm glad he's on this side again.
