with his 6-7 height and his vertical will make him a deadly option or decoy
add to that his 3 point shooting he will have to be guarded
side outs ,end of game alley oops on mismatches and his opening floor for isaiah
we should look forward to more of brads magic plays-
horford also will also open up the lane for those isaiah dashes to the basket with little time-

You are starting to become with Green like Triboy and Mickey :D

Green has talents but I'm not sure Stevens will trust him in important end of the game situations.

i don't see how my visualizing green with his elite vertical and the speed of his lift in specialty situation like side in bounds ,after timeouts ,end of quarter or end of game-
his career .36 3 point shooting makes him a threat as decoy, any match up where he can go above rim for alley oops, putbacks on misses with time running out-when you can spread the d and get isaiah one on one -he scores or is fouled-
green can get the ball half way up the backboard, what a target for marcus or isaiah steaming down the court with clock winding down and the other team can't foul

nobody knows how good jaylen is-at this moment i believe in the circumstances i brought up, greens experience on how to use vertical in congested areas against nba bigs is far superior--not to diminish jaylen

not at three point shooting.

rollie raises a couple of good points. green wont start on this team. the question then is what are the situations CBS will play him. the scenarios rollie lays out make sense.

For those ready to dismiss Green before he's ever played a minute for the Celtics... think back a couple years ago to what many of us were saying about Evan Turner. Even on short money (2 x $3m) most were appalled.

Green is barely 30 years old and he's been a productive role player the last few years. He's not exactly washed up. I think he's going to play some important minutes this season.

He won't be this season. Green is 30 and Brown is 19. There are few players that young who get minutes on good teams. Brown will have a much better career, but for this year, don't expect the moon and stars.

Best thing you can expect from Brown this season? Maybe what Stanley Johnson or Justise Winslow did last year, when they were about Brown's age right now. Their minutes per game were in the 20s and both gave you something in terms of defense and rebounding, but that was about it. I think that's the big motivation for Gerald Green, to take some pressure off a 19-year-old potential future stud, while trying to catch lightning in a bottle like you did with Evan Turner.

i have read where gerald wants to focus on defense and some of his teamates noticed the difference last year-miami slowed their pace 2nd half of season
i would be very surprised if isaiah didn't see him as an asset
after last years of vet minimum green could possibly overachieve this time
brad will love experimenting with his athleticism
last year all he wanted was to find a home
if he shoots .40% like two years ago -he's home
