i decided to investigate jackson after being unimpressed in summer league-i watched summer league
league highlites and draftx as well a notre dame highlites then my favorite Attack the Paint by daniel
with all this trade stuff going on i wanted to see what demetrious could do and why hegot what he did from ainge-elite strength, elite vertical, quick and pesky defender
like his jump shot, good elevation
-really wanted to see his ball handling skills after watching kylie and curry
-my conclusion he is a keeper and we lucked out getting him at 45 -hope he likes maine
some people rated him 3rd best guard and a lottery pick
i think he has a 43 in vertical ,coupled with 6-5 wingspan and quick and good in transition
got that chip danny likes

Couldn't deal with pressure D in SL cause he's got no left hand!  Not good for a point guard.  Doesn't matter what league you are in, if you can't dribble with your left hand, you can't dribble with your left hand!

Also, he's built like a fireplug and tenacious.

I'm a huge ND fan and pumped Jackson got a guaranteed contract. He will be good. His defensive versatility is not his upside as he can only guard 1s, but he will guard 1s well. He's explosive, can hit the 3, and has a high motor. If Rozier is part of a trade package he will be great ball-handling insurance. The video ND put out of him is well worth the watch. Love this kid and his personality.

I'm also curious why he took #9 when #11 seems to be available. Anyone have any insight?

Jackson looked great in college, athletic, quick, skilled, tough. All skills that looked like they would at least partially translate to the NBA.

Thought he was bad in summer league, he didn't look explosive or decisive, hopefully it was just the jitters.

I feel like going from the man to the #45 pick and not even sure if you're going to get a contract could give someone the jitters for sure.

He seems to be a taller version of Isaiah Thomas. The Youtube clips prove he is a natural. Sometimes he looked ridiculous, but he was probably gassed and trying to be superman. Even Isaiah can look dodgy and reckless at times.

He looks up there with Rozier for prospects. RJ Hunter is on the clock. James Young must be finished as a Celtic. I don't know where a guy like Mickey fits in. Guys like Zeller seem to be nothing more than trade bait filler.

These guys are unproven, however. Rozier seems slotted to get the next chance. I don't see where Hunter will get many chances. He's going to have to go nuts and turn heads in practice. There is a lot of competition to this roster. Danny has stockpiled the team. I would not be scared going with Rozier and Jackson if we had to due to unforeseen injuries or Smart can't handle pg. Maybe one of Smart or Bradley is destined to be traded. I don't know.
