It's a dark day in sports when I respect Andersen Varejao more than Kevin Durant..

Makes sense especially given that he resigned with the Warriors.

wasnt varejao seen celebrating with cavs when they won the championship.

Nah, I think he was giving out some bro hugs to his friends on the team but so were a lot of the Warriors.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
I agree with bdm - accept it and then auction it off for charity.

Chances are Varejao might have accepted the ring had Durant not just guaranteed a Warriors dynasty.

He can do what he wants, but he should take the ring if offered.  He spent a lot of team in Cleveland and was very beloved by everyone in the organization and city.

Makes no sense to me whatsoever.

Accepting the ring and then selling it for donation sounds nice, but you have to accept it first.  I could never do that.  It is meaningless.  He tired to beat the Cavs and he will try again of there is a GS vs. CLE rematch.  What does the ring mean?

Yeah, I think it'd be stupid to accept it at this point if offered.   Physically, you were on the opposing team that LOST the Finals to the team that you'd be accepting the ring from.    That fact alone cheapens the accomplishment exponentially.  It's silly.
