This game tonite makes Crowder look expendable. The kid has a lot of talent.

I think our evaluation of players in SL should work both ways:  If they suck, it may mean nothing.  If they shine, it doesn't mean it translates.  Hey I love what I saw from Brown tonight, but to say that Crowder is now expendable is going a bit far.

Here is the one thing that I have noticed now and I will have to go back and watch the Cal games I have on tape but when going up with a jumper that is contested he isnt on balance. He doesnt have his legs under him. Its not the same shot as when he is open. I wonder if the coaches have noticed this and are working with him on this. If he is able to correct this I think his shooting % will lift.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.

Brown has the potential to be a top 15 player in this league. More athletic Kawhi Leonard kind of potential. His potential ceiling is higher than Kris Dunn. Dunn has a higher floor, chances are very good that dude at least becomes a fringe all-star, Jeff Teague level, and he too has a chance of being a top 20 player, while if Jaylen bottoms out he becomes a SF version of Smart. But Brown has a better chance of becoming a superstar than Dunn, which is exactly why Ainge picked him.

This team needs a superstar, now and in the future. At #3 in this draft, Brown was the pick with the best chance to do that, even though Dunn has a higher floor.
