I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Anybody thinking maybe plan is to trade now for Griffin and then trade him in February for Boogie?

No lol Griffin won't re-sign in Sacramento.

yeah I know that but for a second I was dreaming about something like that, I really want us to get Boogie and this trade could be end of that speculation forever. Imagine if Cavs somehow get Boogie, well that would be devastating for us

I'd prefer the better player in Cousins, but just maybe you can hold onto the Nets picks trading for Griffin in the last year of his contract.

I think the Kings are stupid if they think at this point they can hold onto Cousins long term, and his value will only go down the closer he gets to FA.

Maybe trade for Griffin now, re-sign him next offseason if all things go well, then trade for Cousins. Horford then off the bench in a Bill Walton role. Ha I'm kidding, but that would be awesome.

been a couple day.  Has anyone legitimate reported boston is even discussing trades right now?  Last I heard, nothing was happening.  I assume nothing is still happening.

nope... a few other larger followed twitter pages reposted either Lifshatz or the guy from Real GM's post...

Bob Ryan also commented on the rumor ... but nothing concrete

Brown has 11 points in about 8 minutes of playing time in the summer league. That is the big story of the day

MLB All-Star game tonight. Last couple of days like a professional sports respect moratorium courtesy regarding big announcements.

You'll see that around the time of signature events in sports.

Is that what people are convincing themselves of?  That no trades are happening because of baseball?

I don't think people are really convincing themselves of that. The story maybe has moved from out right crock to something you can maybe wrap your head around. After the deals for Crabbe and Johnson fell through and the Nets were resorting to signing a 37 year old Scola I have come to realize there isn't a single draft pick for next year that I would rather own going into next season's than the Nets. I think that gives a certain level of excitement of us being able to have the 1st or 2nd pick and a chance at a real big trade.
