They likely will have the worst record in the NBA.

IF Bkn "Nets" us a top 5 pick again no one can tell me that this isn't one of the greatest trades in history. This isn't like a draft day mistake or trading away disgruntled stars, we traded away players who IMO (not at the time of course) should have retired that season (PP was still serviceable)! Even DA and crew didn't think we would cash in a great pick as early as 2016. Heist of epic proportion!
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

4) Signing journeyman Justin Hamilton to a deal (couldn't find numbers);

Hamilton signed for two years, $6 million, and he's an interesting lottery ticket.

But yes, wise spending aside, the Nets are worst-in-the-league terrible.

As long as the nets are in the lottery there is a chance the C's can draft a future star to help win the next championship and the one after that, etc, etc.

I'd argue that the Nets started improving the day that they let Billy King go, lol.  In all seriousness, though, they have McCullough and RHJ coming back for, presumably, full seasons next year, and I fear that passing on Caris Levert could very well come back to haunt us.  That guy should have been a Celtic, imo.  Ugh.

even if they make the playoffs the next two years, it's already considered one of the 10 greatest trades in history.   KG and Pierce were cooked at that point.  We have Isaiah Thomas thanks to that deal - and Thomas helped us recruit Horford.  Jaylen brown might be a player some day.  James young seems like a bust but he's only 20 years old.  + two more 1sts coming - it was a ridiculous haul.

Just like the Lakers(Mozgov, Clarkson, Deng) they are getting desperate to just spend the money... Both team will be at the bottom once again

Really

Clarkson is a solid young player

Deng will probably be for veteran leadership

Mozgov deal is terrible
probably just to pair randle with a rim protecting C

Nets have made some questionable moves this offseason

I like signing Jeremy Lin and Trevor booker
Drafting isiah whitehead was ok
Signing Justin Hamilton was meh. He's a vet but doesn't move them towards playoffs.

I'm not really familiar with Tyler Johnson so can't judge

I don't lick them drafting LeVert as he is boom or bust Imo With his injury history
Also considering who was still there to pick from
And the fact that they traded arguably their best young player in thad young

They are the worst in the east
Which is furthered with teams in the east like Knicks, magic, and 76ers improving

Not sure if they are the worst in the entire league
Because they still have brook Lopez, Jeremy Lin and Chris McCullough
