It's going to be very interesting to see how this shakes out.  Nicholson is 26 and in four years with a terrible team, was unable to be anything but a 15 minute a night role player.  Now he's getting a 4 year deal for 6 mil a year.  I know it doesn't seem like much but given that it now takes near max money to sign any free agent, not tying up money in marginal talent is going to be more important than ever.

$6.5 million per year for a below average to average backup PF. Interesting to try and figure out new benchmarks for different roles.

So that is the marker for a below average to average backup PF.
