The Utah Jazz are finalizing a deal to send guard Trey Burke to the Washington Wizards for a future pick, league sources tell @TheVertical.

Wizards will send second-round pick to Utah for Burke, who had fallen out of Jazz's future plans. Great reset button on Burke's young career

That's crazy cheap for Burke! Kind of surprised that 76ers didn't jump in before the Wizards, as they could use a PG.

I'm a bit disappointed in this.  I'm still hoping we can acquire Shelvin Mack, but trading Burke makes that less likely.

Makes sense for Utah tho.  George Hill is Trey Burke, but bigger and better.

true. and this deal may also speak to the new salary reality in the nba. first round draft picks seem to be far more valuable than they once were. since the rookie salary cap has not adjusted to the new money in the nba - yet - having players on their rookie deals makes it easier to have an affordable bench.

i am glad the celtics stocked up on such players and picks.

Disappointed in Burke thus far. I expected he'd be a high level backup PG by now. Showing no signs of becoming that. A well below average backup PG.

Hopefully things can change for him in Washington.

Nice pickup for the Wizards considering the low cost.
