Is it crazy to go after Bradley Beal? He fits a need of shooting and we all know this guy has the potential to do more than that. From Bradley's perspective, The Wizards don't seem to have a great future. Let's make him a max offer and see if the Wizards are open for a sign and trade.

I'd love to see the Celts go after Beal. He has more upside than anyone on our team. Health is the question -- if Danny trusts his ability to stay on the court, it's a no-brainer given how low his value likely is due to said medical concerns.

Draft: 8 first rounders in next 5 years.

Cap space: $24 mil.

He is made of glass, but I would definitely take a chance and splurge on him. Worried about discussion of "minutes restriction" for him already but, from what I've read, the numbers weren't [dang]ing (still 30+, iirc).

Kyrie is made of glass too and he worked out pretty well for CLE this year.

I think Jaylen/IT/Marcus Smart ultimately have higher ceilings in terms of impacting winning games, though I think Beal will def. be the better shooter and probably the best scorer. I think Beal will end up as a good shooter and make a couple all star games while scoring in the low 20's per game. His #s improved last year, albeit on a mediocre team.

My concern is how much? Is he worth more than $20m for 6+ years? At those numbers, there's certainly an opportunity cost down the road. Is Beal good enough to carry your team to a championship? I'm not sure of that, so I would hold off....
The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing.

A lot of good free agents out there.  And everyone has some money to spend.  Expect to see some crazy contracts handed out this season!

Who will we pick up though?

As for BB, he's not a bad plan B or plan C.  But he's not a plan A for me.  At least he can score but when's the last time he was fully healthy and can he play good perimeter defense?

It's hard to believe he's just turning 23, after all the years he has been I the league already.

I say he's not a bad choice, even though he hasn't come close to playing a full season since 2013.

I remember the Red Sox signing JD Drew who had similar injury/endurance concerns, and he was still a solid contributor and worth his contract, even though you had to factor in that he was going to miss for sure at least 20% of the season.
