Just thought to post this for hopefully some good discussion.

They propose:

Sacramento acquires: Avery Bradley, Amir Johnson, the No. 3 pick, the No. 31/35 picks, and a pick swap with Brooklyn and Sacramento in 2018

Boston acquires: DeMarcus Cousins

I think it will take a few more pieces to make it happen and I honestly think Cousins is untouchable. But you never know what will happen, especially after what has happened in the past few hours. What do you guys think?

I'm absolutely on board with that deal, but never in this lifetime would the Kings ever do that.

Yep as I said there would need to be more pieces involved. Probably even need to add the 2017 Brooklyn Pick (which makes me hesitate)

Another Thought: Is it worth giving up all that for just two years of Cousins?

If he bolts in 2018 FA... well we already mortgaged most of our farm for him.

Sacramento would need WAY more

They won't get much more for a guy who hasn't been able to get his team to the playoffs and is widely considered to be a headcase. Consider that their average record since he's been a King is .344 and he has only led them in wins hares twice in his 6 years. Isaiah Thomas managed that feat in half of the time.

They are getting a guy you can flip for a 1st in Bradley, as well as the #3 overall pick and a likely top-5 pick next season. Add in the high 2nd that some GMs prize above late 1st for their lack of guarantee and I think that is a handsome value.

Do you think the Lakers would trade Randle, the #2 overall pick and their 2017 pick for Cousins? Oh wait they can't, they don't own their pick unless it's in the top-3.

I don't see someone throwing them multiple top-5 picks and players of consequence for Cousins. I'm not even sure I'm giving up the 2017 pick swap for a guy who has 2 seasons left on his deal and will almost assuredly leave the Kings dumpster fire come summer 2018.

Obviously he's a great player but he's not on the level of Durant, Lebron, Curry or AD. He's a tier down with guys like Butler, Aldridge and Griffin.

Where do I sign on that trade?

They most likely demand Marcus Smart's inclusion AND Brooklyn 2017 pick in addition to proposed package. To which I say hell no.

I'd much rather take the patient path...

Did we ever find out what teams offered for him? I know he was shopped.

Why not?  Cousins is widely considered to be the most talented C in the game.  Couple him with a lock-down perimeter defense (Bradley, Smart and/or Rozier) along with a good bench gives Durant, who will provide the scoring punch, an honest to god chance to win not just 1 title but multiple ones and see his jersey eventually hanging from the rafters at TDG.

IMO THAT'S what Durant is looking for as OKC has always been able to put up points with the best of them in the NBA but lacked players who were willing to sacrifice individual, offensive stats for championships.  I believe, as many others do, that Cousins' "attitude" issues largely revolve around his understandable frustration with management and the revolving door of both coaches and players who haven't been able to put together a cohesive unit around him committed to winning.

Sac is getting a single 1st round pick for Cousins?  Never in a zillion years.  Add 2 more 1s along with the pick swap and maybe it's a starting point.
