I would rather go after the 6th or 8th pick using 16, 23, and Rozier.

To move back four spaces we get the 9th pick, but have to give up 16 and 23?  That doesn't seem to make much sense.  If you move back to seventh that should have value.  Pick 23 should be able to move up significantly... say 10, 11 or 12.  So moving back from the top three nets you one two or three spots?  No thanks.  If the 3rd pick has that little value compared to the 7th pick, we should just hold on to it.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
On the surface, trading one guy in the 2nd tier and a couple of later picks for two guys in the 2nd tier makes a lot of sense - assuming the guy at 3 is about equal to the guys at 7 and 9. After scouting, workouts, etc, this is probably not the case.

But since I can't really decide and the OP's question is whether or not I would do it, I say yes.

I chose no because feel there are a lot of bigs this draft that the C's could draft at 16 and 23. I see draft going heavy with bigs. Sully is gone. Zeller is gone. KO is question mark. AJ and JJ on last years.

3 Murray, Heild, or Dunn.
16 Ellenson, Sabonis, or Lab.
23 Zizic, Jones, or Zubac.
31 Zimmerman, Onuaku, or Johnson.
