i like avery's jumper his quick elevation and he's got bounce but on breakaways, he is prone to blow layups, whether its collision in mid air and being vunerable but he hears feet-
I think it's been at least two full seasons in which Brad Stevens has given Avery Bradley the green light. This year he seemed potent. Maybe the Shaq Attack person also described him as a mini Michael Jordan. 15 points is nothing to sneeze at.
I think you're correct that these young players have a lot of specialized job duties to master. It must be overwhelming. Hunter has some ready made NBA demeanor skills, while James Young still hovers right above the Fab Melo line.
Information overload is correct.
I disagree with you about Avery finishing at the rim. I think he finally figured it out. I am not good at finding such advanced stats. I used to fear Avery shooting layups. Or Turner. My eye test shows them both rapidly improving by developing ice in the veins. What Avery is bad at is too often he makes telegraphed passes, real absent-minded, momentum breaking turnovers. I'd like him to figure that out.
People forget the human element. You played for legendary coach Mr. Massimino. I saw the Georgetown-Villanova game live. Talk about David slaying Goliath.
Brad Stevens is young, but he is an old-school coach in which every season is a story and it's about the journey from start to end.
People become so jaded, they don't think there is anything going on that can't be explained through statistics or level-headed opinion analysis.
Bradley plus Isaiah is too small? Then have a third or fourth guy to replace them to counter the opponent. Styles make the fight.
We are in a unique situation. It's as if we are playing Texas Hold' Em and have a lot of chips. I think the bar for next season is to win at least one playoff series and fight to the end.
Like you say, we didn't really get a chance to see if our team has what it takes. We had too many guys hurting. The beauty of that is there will continually be new "assets" to reinforce the team. I don't want Kevin Love. I think this rebuild should be done in the concept of Celtics Pride.
Players should end up like Paul Pierce, never wanting to leave. I think that is where Evan Turner is. I don't think he wants to leave at all.
I won't be disappointed if we have a similar team minus some driftwood with new, good rookies. There's nothing wrong with slow and steady, to keep working on team improvement and chemistry.
48 wins is also something to not sneeze at. I am having a nice Summer not worrying about the million what if's.
Bradley is a Celtic. He is who we will be fighting with next year or he is getting traded. I don't see how Zeller and Sully return. Maybe Zeller returns if there are no fireworks, but I imagine Danny will draft a center, resign Amir, and figure Brad can fudge the rest with Olynyk and Mickey for centers. A lot could be riding on if Olynyk can make the next step. It's not like he's scrawny.
If Danny could sign Howard for a couple years, I think we become an instant title contender. We need someone transcendent in the front court. If Crowder is who we saw last year, that is amazing. Jae Crowder is a check mark. Our team is stacked. I never really thought this before because everyone says it is an overachieving team.
Maybe you are correct about Avery Bradley. One of the All-Stars we want to do better in future playoffs could already be on the team.
And Isaiah is underrated on defense. He's a check mark. Maybe I will be eating future crow pie, but I hope Danny thinks of the roster the same way I do. I may be wearing green-tinted glasses, but maybe Crowder, Bradley and Isaiah really are that good with Amir and Turner just below with Smart and Olynyk right on their heels. That is the core team I would like to watch this year.
That's seven guys. Danny needs two more good players to compete with Cleveland, Toronto etc. to reach next year's finals. I think two years ago we were debating whether to keep Kris Humphries. The center position needs to be solved. That is Danny's achilles heel.
