I dont know if Marv Albert is still working, but he is on the top of my list.

As for fav analysist, i would have to pick Hubie Brown. You get to "learn" while watching

Unlike say Jeff Van Gundy. He provides little value(learning plays, what the other teams should do to counter etc.) for the viewers

I also have a soft spot for Tommy lol

Yours?

Scal is my favorite. I love watching the away games.

I couldn't stand scal as a player but I think he's an awesome color guy/ analyst. I think he teaches ya something as the game goes along. Hubie does this but just for me personally it's too filled with percentages. I don't like analytics. Lol.
Worst is ( for me) what they have going in the finals now. Jackson and van gunsy calling Lebron the best passing forward ever, over Bird??? See ya later. Tuning out.

Johnny Most.

That's where the line will always start.

Color: I like Jon Barry a lot. I find him very insightful.

  • That's turrible
Other than Mike Gorman, I really like whoever does the commentary for the Raptors. Very insightful and very entertaining.

As an International League Pass holder, I can always choose between home and away commentary. I always choose Mike and Tommy/Scal. I really enjoy listening to those guys.

Both Tommy's older inside info and Scal's current up to date info is very interesting and Mike Gorman is just really a class act. Mike and Tommy are my favorite Celtics right now.

If I cross the Atlantic coming season, they are the ones that I would like to shake hands with the most.

Gorman is an excellent, fairly objective play-by-play guy. Both the guys in New Orleans are really balanced and enjoyable to listen to, as well. They're very, very knowledgeable about the league rosters, too.

As for national play-by-play guys, I think my favorite is Mike Breen, which doesn't seem to be a popular opinion on this board. He's always been the neutral one to me, though it may be because he's paired with Jackson and Van Gundy.

As for analyst, it has to be Brent Barry. He's definitely pretty objective and doesn't ride the major stars like other guys. I actually like Webber a lot, too, because he's pretty balanced, as well. Hubie Brown is always great, too.

The worst ones are definitely Mark Jackson and Jon Barry. I find Van Gundy to be amusing, but he's so freaking inconsistent and biased at times it's hard to listen to him. Reggie sucks, too.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

Ah, such good memories of laying in my bed at night, trying to tune in WBZ radio in Virginia to hear a west coast game...to hear Johnny say "Jo Jo White fiddles...he diddles...he shoots...BANG!"...man, those were the days.
