"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Still looks mechanical to me, but not bad form.   It will come just got to get that in muscle memory.  Duncan looked mechanical his whole career, but he will not be that good.     I have no problem taking him late of the first, early second.

The thing that bothers me about Diallo is he wasn't good enough to get off Bill Self's bench.

Coined the CelticsBlog term, "Euromistake."

Diallo looked much better in the Combine scrimmage than he ever did at KU. He is a project definitely worth taking IMO but DX has him gone by #23.

Pretty sure he has already worked out for the Celtics, too. Haven't heard anything about it yet though.

If Faried could block shots and protect the rim how much more impactful would he be? I think that is Diallo's upside.

Maybe at some point him and Mickey can play together and absolutely wall off the paint.

I think this says more about Bill Self than Diallo.

Also the NCAA making him ineligible so that he missed practices and the first few weeks of the season really hurt him. I think Self prefers to play upper class men anyway, but Diallo missing so much time early made it even more likely he would be glued to the bench.
