Maybe i'm just old-school, but this interview really hurt my personal evaluation of him.
Very lackadaisical attitude/personality.
Doesn't seem to be elaborate his thoughts very well, dare I question his bball IQ?
Blamed his Michigan State/Izzo for limiting his game. Definitely not what you typically hear from MSU players.
"usually wake up at 9" ??? Seems like every draft prospect talks about how early they wake up.

Idk. I'm probably too hard on him, but that interview was definitely not impressive.
Quote
Even at the end of the game, we lined up in different formation that he hadn't seen and he called out our play before I got the ball. I heard him calling it out. -John Wall on Brad Stevens

Meh.

It sounds like a 19 year old kid. Yeah, his answer of "they didn't want us to shoot outside the paint" could have been phrased better but I'm not too hung up on that. I'm not going to make snap judgments off of little snippets of clips without hearing the entire interview.

I'm not sure I'd equate BBIQ with classroom-test IQ anyway. There have been some dumb guys on the court who were excellent basketball players.
Jaylen Brown will be an All Star in the next 5 years.

You ever watch MSU play? You wouldn't even think this kid was an NBA prospect. I don't think he deserves to be drafted.

I don't know, I felt more impressed with his interview than Chriss. Chriss just sounded like he was making decisions solely for himself whereas Davis came across as more of a team player.

They were both asked a question on where they would like to be drafted, Chriss said something about himself whereas Davis said he doesn't mind, it's not important, it's about what happens after. I like that answer more

I don't hear a bad interview.  He's being honest.  And he said a few important things.

When he was asked to improve is outside shot, he worked hard and made it happen.

Now the outside shot is part of his game.

He also thinks of himself as a "rim protector".

Seems to me, he's worked himself into the player that he is today.

I like him in the late lottery if we can trade up for Davis.  Because we do need a rim protector who has versatility to make the outside shot in the modern NBA.
