The chance of Durant leaving OKC is less than 5 percent.

The ONLY way he'll leave is if someone can convince him that the path to a title is easier in the Eastern Conference - which it obviously is. James is going to start breaking down any time - cough, cough, cough - and when he does, some team is going to be poised to step in and take over the mantle from the Cavs.
Coined the CelticsBlog term, "Euromistake."

i think the players would be well-established and of similar age to Durant and not too young or old

Maybe Paul George, jimmy butler, Marc gasol, Anthony Davis, James harden

Would it be possible for Durant to want Westbrook as in ask the Celtics to trade for Westbrook to bring him to the Celtics with him?

There are so many scenarios here, it seems almost likely that something will happen out of the blue nobody predicted. A trade for a George or Cousins, KD changing teams, Howard or Noah signing in Boston. Okafor for #3. The chances of something happening is high. This is the make or break year for Danny. The Celtics are on the cusp of contention.

I'm surprised that so many people don't know who Butch Stearns is. He's no Will McDonough*, but he was the sports guy for Fox 25 for over 10 years. He may not be the most connected guy in the business, but he's certainly earned his respect and he is lot more than just some fill in guy at WEEI. Whether or not his source gave him good info is a great question, but I trust that Butch would not make this whole thing up - a source gave him info and he passed it along to us.

*I hope people know who Will McDonough was or this analogy won't work.

I'm not surprised, its an agent's job to lay the groundwork for such scenarios so their client has options and leverage.

I still think he's staying in OKC on a two year deal like LeBron signed.

Maybe we should just sign Jennifer Lawrence or Kate Upton in some capacity and be like "How would you like to spend every day around them?"

Desperate measures for desperate times.

i absolutely hate these big players holding their teams hostage

I get it with the rising cap though

Also, part of me feels that lebron does it (partially) to stay in the lime light in free agency. Keep the spotlight on him, ya know?
I trust Danny Ainge

That is a mighty great idea.
