I think theres zero chance he signs with Golden State. He'd look like a complete pud if he did that. San Antonio, Houston and Boston are my guesses on the off chance he leaves the Thunder.

Yeah, I'm so sick and tired of hearing them say Golden State. There's no way that will happen without Durant seriously harming his legacy.

Houston would also be a crappy basketball situation for him. A ball hog in Harden and a team coached by D'Antoni who struggled with defense this past year is not exactly a great situation for Durant.

I think Boston and San Antonio are the major favorites for Durant if he leaves OKC, though San Antonio will have to seriously make some cap moves to be able to fit him.

From a third party perspective, Boston would be a good landing spot for Durant because it is in the East, which makes an easier road to the Finals. Celtics also have loads of draft picks and financial flexibility for the foreseeable future.

San Antonio Spurs would also make a ton of sense for Durant because he would plug into their system right away and they are a class act organization.

But from KD's perspective, I believe he will stay in OKC on a 1-year deal and wait for Westbrook in free agency next year.

I only say Houston because of the Harden factor. Durant clearly wants to play with friends to an extent which is kind of lame but understandable. I'd throw the Wizards in because he's from D.C and they hired his old coach but that team is a mess. Even if Durant signed there they still wouldn't beat the Cavs.

Why would he want to go to Houston?

I presume they mean if Harden is traded away.

Surprised noone has mentioned Miami, but they are a Bosh injury update away from a full-blown re-build.

Based on absolutely nothing; IF I WAS Durant, this would be my list:

1. San Antonio
2. Lakers
3. Orlando
4. Charlotte
5. Portland

Durant is close with Harden and definitely wouldn't consider the Rockets if Harden were gone.

Similar to Golden State there is no way he would go to Miami. He would literally be a Lebron clone if he did that. Also there is zero chance he goes to Orlando or Charlotte lma0 take that one to the bank.

Why should he stay? OKC isn't getting any better, they aren't the high seed and their team isn't getting more help, they have to overachive to get in the semifinal, let alone to win the final

And why should he wait for RW? they can still play together in another team if they really want to

If i am KD i will sign 1+1 with Celtics to see if this is what i want, in this case the financial situation is actually in our favor

As it's been stated, from a financial stand point it makes the most sense (by a loooong shot) for him to sign a one year contract this year and then sign a long term contract next season.  It's just the way the salary cap works.  So if he is only going to sign a one year contract and he likes Westbrook (his instant defense of him at the presser where they brought up Cuban saying Westbrook wasn't a superstar makes me think he does) then why not sign with OKC and see how things turn out next year?

Because he has been there for 7 years and it's long enough for him to know that nothing will happen staying, just wasting another year(if he want rings most)
on the other hand even the celtics didn't do any trade he has more possibilty to at least reach the semifinal
