1. Bender
2. Use the rest of of our picks to move up and grab Maker
3. Use the rest of our draft to replace or resign Sully or grab another wing.  I'd use free agency for that though and just try to resign Sully.

Simplified yes but you get the idea.

Maker right now is slated as a late first round project which is what he is, but I feel like he is gong to rise and some team will screw us.

I like Maker in the mid-late first, but what makes him so appealing that you'd trade all our picks for him? What makes him better than Skal, Chriss, or Davis?

I like his upside.  In ways I'd rather get the guys I want vs drafting players that don't necessarily fit us.  I agree though there are other good options.  he should be there at 16 anyways.  He's really more of a late 1st round prospect imo but could rise because of his upside. He could be really good.

I'd rather get that guy i feel is going to be the best player is what i'm saying vs some guy who isn't and ends up being very average. Maker has a lot of bust potential though but any of these guys can bust.

Bender and Maker would be a very successful draft for us I feel.  Give us 2 prospects to develop that have a lot of upside vs drafting mediocre players

Fair enough, I'm not going to pretend that my impression of Maker is any less subjective.

There are only so many roster spots in the nba.   I'd rather fill it with guys who can be good and who i want vs more mediocre.  This is why ainge was willing to give up 4 picks for winslow I feel.   I'd overpay for Maker if some team is going to take him higher than us at 16.

He really is a late first round pick though.   He's too much a shot in the dark to go higher than that.

I wouldnt have done that for Embiid when he rose because of his injury and because we had the 6th pick and could still get a player like marcus. That's different.   Embiid was good as a later pick.  Once he rose to top 3 with his injury f that.

Too much gambling with big men like that.  I would take a shot on Maker though. Oden no.  I'd take Durant and be happy.

I think I think like Ainge like that. I would have given up a ton to move up from 16 to get Okafor or Porzingis. I dont think they would do that deal though.

With all the picks we have across the ranges Maker is projected to fall in, we don't need to trade anything to get him, we can just draft him , at worst at 16.

My best case draft scenario, IF we don't trade the #3 pick, is to pick Bender, trade several of our other picks and maybe one of our younger guards like Rozier to move up and also draft Hield, and then use a remaining late pick on Maker.

Nobody is taking Maker higher than 16. Heck, we will get a lot of crap ourselves if we do take him that early. He's a late 1st/mid-early 2nd rounder. He has several major issues still in his game, he might never pan out, but he is worth the risk imo.

I would nto trade up if he's going to be there which he should be.  I might take him at 16 though.

It depends on the player and how he fits us too. I say i would have given up a ton for okafor or porzingis but we are in position to get bender this year.  And Maker.  I don't know if i would have honestly.

I want the right players. That stuff seems to work itself out where we don't need to force it.

We have so many picks we don't need it's an option where we can gamble and take a shot  if we like a  player though.

Still like Brice Johnson at 16.  Davis.  Valentine.  There are a lot of good players.  Luwawu may slide. Sabonis etc..

Maker is a guy I'd like to take a shot on.
