I think these are somewhat far fetched because we have to be able to put all the pieces together.

I think you continue to dangle trade scenarios for Butler.  AB and a nets pick down the road for him if he wants out.

this years pick for a guy like Okafor

I don't see these trades happening.  We might be able to steal a guy like butler or okafor but I'll believe it when i see it.  Getting one and not having any big men.  Okafor makes more sense because our guards are pretty good, but getting Butler we still need to improve our big men.

Certain players are not worth trading for. Some are depending on need and situation.  Ainge has been lowballing and will continue to do so I feel unless something actually substantial is out there.

We can attempt to build around Isaiah and hope to get paul george and offer up marcus and picks but all the pieces have to come together for it to be anything substantial.

Otherwise the rumors and media are just fluff and Ainge will continue to lowball.

These guys are all good on paper but the idea is to be able to put a team out there that can beat lebron ultimately.   Short changing ourselves does no good.

Fwiw Bill Simmons was on the radio this morning and he said that okafor is the most logical trade. He said the C's thought they were getting okafor in February.

I'm not that big on Okafor.
He seems like a very talented scorer, but that is about it.
I'm concerned with his rebounding, perimeter defense, character/maturity, rim protection and durability.
Basically, everything we need.
If he is a substitution for Sully ok, but the price would have to be low.
Can you get him for AB and minor picks?

  • GOT IT!!!
I wouldn't be opposed to trading for Okafor if the C's cannot land an All-star. The dude's offensive game is pretty polished already. I don't think you necessarily have to give up the farm to get it done either.

How about we trade #35 to the Clippers for Paul Pierce?

In addition to the reunion tour, we could actually use someone like him to backup Crowder...

I love the Captain, but in such a deal, the Clippers should be the one sending the pick to unload Pierce's contract.

Solid confirmation that Okafor would be a bad acquisition.
