This was not the storybook ending we were hoping for. Not only did we fail to make it to the second round of the playoffs....BOS ended their season with two straight blowout losses.

This young team was able to make strides that no one expected from them. I hope the media and other NBA players will realize that this team was a lot better than what they showed in the playoffs.

The end of the season went very strange. We lost our offense completely. We won an unwinable game vs Miami and the fun part is, it was in fact BETTER to lose this game for our seeding.
For all you know, we could have go to the finales. Watch Charlotte and have a second thought.

What?

We won 48 games this year - 8 games more than last.

We won 2 playoff games and may have won more if AB were healthy - after winning none last year.

We have a TON of cap room available heading into the summer.

We improved to 10 / 30 offensively, and was 4th in the league defensively.

We have entire roster on good contracts.

We have a coach that finished 6th in COY candidacy.

Our starting SG finished 6th defensively and improved offensively this year.

Our entire team is young.

Rozier showed promise as a rookie - getting minutes during the playoffs.

Marcus Smart showed flashes of greatness  - we wouldn't have won game 4 without him.

Our entire team clicked chemistry-wise.

Our starting PG is an All-Star.

We have BKN's picks for next few years - and 4 picks this draft.

We have TRADITION on our side.

We have a forward-thinking GM.

We have engaged owners.

Did I miss anything?

Life is not a storybook, listen, look and learn...  We shot so bad, I think we got exactly what we deserved.   We played hard all year, but everyone plays harder in the post season.  Hustle is not enough then, it takes some talent and skill because the games matter more.

We can only hope.

I think we made some progress and may have learned that certain elements of the team need to go.  It was a good year, this team was competitive during the regular season, and faced a lot of adversity in the playoffs and still tried hard.  In the end, we were measured and found to be lacking in some areas.   But we took the road less traveled, no tanking here, we played to win.

just the blow out losses. You are right though, there is a lot to be happy about this season. Just for all the things you listed, I think we would have all felt better losing on a few shots just not going in, or a few calls not going our way. Something where we could say we were close. We got killed out there and that hurts. It hurts because we played so well this season. We beat the champs on their court.
