Per Jerry Zgoda on Twitter.

"Team has begun new search for coach & basketball ops head."

Good move for the Wolves.  Get a real legit coach in there to help nurture that core.  Mitchell wasn't going to be the answer.

That team's got a very bright future if they can get the right guy in there.  Especially after they inevitably get the #1 pick yet again.

Disappointed Mitchell didn't do better in Minnesota. I thought he did a good job in Toronto. I would have liked to have seen him succeed there. Pity.

Number 1 coaching destination if you just look at the young talent.

Thibs comes in, and then next year watch the mpg averages

Rubio - 35
Wiggins - 38
Towns - 37
Dieng - 34
Lavine - 14
Muhammad - DNPCD

  • That's turrible
If Thibs decides to coach this team, I may invest my time watching these guys just as much as the Celtics. There's so much talent on this team. All they need to do is learn how to play better defense and they will be monstrous in a couple years.

I'm sure Thibs will be highly recommended by Garnett, who will most likely return another season.
