Over Smart's last 9 games, he's averaging 13.6 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 2.1 steals. But even more importantly, he's shooting .451/.366/.806.

If he's finally rounding into shape and put some of these injuries behind him, and this is his immediate future, I'm happy. There's still a good chance his shooting regresses (and I'd like to see his assist numbers go up) but, along with his defense, this is a nice line for him at this point in his development.

Maybe he won't continue the numbers of the last 9 games but for Smart mean regression of his shooting would mean his shooting improves from what he did to start the season.

In other words I expect him to regress towards the mean of his numbers last year, not back towards his awful shooting numbers to start the year.

I really appreciate how his shot selection has improved from last year, with him getting to the rim more and shooting less 3's.

TP for you. I'm a big fan of Smart and hope he can continue this streak. I am happy to see he's starting to drive a bit more now...he still bombs a lot of 3s but if he can continue to make 33% or higher on them, I cannot care less how much he actually launches. I wish he continues to work on his all around game...his defense is elite, he's a big dude who can guard the 1 to 3 position, maybe even some 4s. I just hope **knock on wood**, no more injuries...his injuries are really limiting his production and his growth in my honest opinion. Last year's ankle injury and this year's knee injury

The three ball is the key for Smart. If he can get that close to 40 percent, he's going to multiple all star games.

I think shot selection is the biggest thing. He's shot the 3 well over this recent stretch but with his strength, he should be getting to the basket more. Yes, he needs to make 3's but I think getting to the rim can put him in rhythm and help him make those 3's.

I'm exiting to just see positive signs from him after a pretty frustrating start to the year, offensively.
