I'm not sure about this website, the author of the article or the referenced "Fansided", but this is pretty interesting:

Quote
NBA trade rumors are suggesting that the Golden State Warriors might trade away Harrison Barnes so that they can sign Stephen Curry to a bigger contract, according to Fansided.
As of this season, Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry is making $11.3 million, which makes him one of the best deals in pro sports because he is arguably the best NBA player.
Executives for the Golden State Warriors know that they are going to need to pay Stephen Curry the maximum possible amount of money when his contract expires sometime in 2017.

In order to do that, the Golden State Warriors front office has to maintain some cap flexibility, which would be easier to accomplish if they didn’t have to pay Harrison Barnes soon.
Since the Golden State Warriors won an NBA Championship last year, Harrison Barnes and his agent know that his name value is high, so they are going to ask for a lot of money soon.
While the Golden State Warriors value Harrison Barnes and everything that he brings to the table, they might not feel all that comfortable with putting themselves in financial hardship.
With that in mind, the Golden State Warriors are going to want to see if they can get something for Harrison Barnes instead of letting him walk away for free when he becomes a free agent.

The article goes on to say that Thad Young could be a target, given the Warriors need for front court depth.

We have front court depth. Sully and Young or KO and Young work $$$ -wise. Do we need to give up more? Is that too much? Do those websites/author have credibility?

I think the only player on our roster that would fir GSW's system is Crowder. Even that's debatable and I don't see us trading him for Barnes.

Olynyk might be attractive for them with his skill set.

He can shoot the 3-ball, handle the ball, good passer/ facilitator. KO + Young plus a 1st from our arsenal could possibly do it.

Offensively absolutely. But GSW is made up of guys that are elite or at least above average on defense as well and I don't see KO fitting in in that regard.

I actually think Crowder is the perfect fit to replace Barnes. Cost-controlled, excellent defender, decent to good shooter. I think he'd really flourish there.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

This looks like a classic case of random website takes trade idea from a fan site and claims it's a legit rumor.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

I'd want to start Barnes next to Crowder if we got him. That allows us so switch everything which seems to be our defensive preference.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

+1

Those two would be an immense starting SF / PF combo on bith ends.  Stretch the floor and guard both spots in switches.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

you cant trust an article that still has the Nets in New Jersey...
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

TP For reading the article. Good catch!

Funny, I still often myself often mistakenly refer to them as New Jersey too.
