WHAT PICKS WOULD NEED TO BE ADDED IN ORDER TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING TRADE HAPPEN?

TO BOS: Love, Gordon
TO CLE: Anderson, Bradley
TO NO: Lee, Jerebko, Sully

Cleveland gets Anderson who can serve the same purpose as Love--on a less scrutinized basis--as well as Bradley to improve their 3 point shooting and defense.

N.O gets Sully to replace Anderson, and Jerebko who's on a good contract for next year. Lee for Gordon swap would make sense to replace Bradley's scoring this year.

Boston gets Love. He'll bring some well needed 3 point shooting to the team. Yes, we lose Bradley's tenacious defense and Sully's rebounding...However, I believe a starting 5 of IT4, Smart, Crowder, Love, Amir w/ a bench of Gordon, Turner, Olynyk, Zeller will be just fine. Throw in Young, RJ, or Mickey for some minutes here and there as well.

Dp you think we could we pry Dellavedova away from CLE to give our 2nd unit more defense?

If CLE starts Kyrie, Bradley, LBJ, Anderson, & Mozgov--their bench could be: Williams, Smith, Shump, Thompson, Varejao. Jones, Jefferson, & Cunningham would get spot minutes. With Bradley & Shump the Cavs wouldn't have a huge need for Delly anymore...

Thoughts???

They have Shump and Smith no need for AB. Crowder though would get them interested as they can go small when needed effectively playing Irving, Shump, Crowder, LeBron, and Thompson.

it's really not terrible.
Clev probably isnt in love with Love, and NO can't wait to get rid of Gordon's contract.. so they probably want a pick with it.

That being said, I have some major concerns about what this would do to our defense. The obvious loss of Bradley could probably be compensated with the other guards, but Sully is our second best post defender. I don't need to see other bigs abuse the rotation of Anderson, Love, Olynyk, and maybe Mickey. And most importantly, Jerebko is our best small-ball 4 (tall ball 3) on defense.

The offense would have a huge boost, but that defense could be swiss cheese.

I have no interest in moving Crowder for Love--he's the best Lebron defender on the team. Shump can play SF...Anderson can play SF/PF. The Cavs can still play small ball after making this trade.

For example: Irving, Bradley, Shump, Lebron, Mozgov.
                    Williams, Smith, Anderson, Thompson, Varejao

Their regular lineup would be:

Irving, Bradley, Lebron, Anderson, Mozgov
Williams, Smith, Shump, Thompson, Varejao

IMO if Crowder has to be included then trading for Love is NOT worth it..

The Cavs would love to have AB.

I don't know if Danny would do this.  I think he'd prefer to give up picks rather than Bradley in a Love deal.  Also, is Love worth his contract?  I guess so with the new cap.  Sully better defender and space eater? Or is Love tougher down low than I think...?  How much better a three-point shooter is Love than Bradley?  At all?  If not, I don't like this deal.  I know what Love did in Minny, so that makes it enticing.  But Love needs to be good on a good team, not just good on a bad team.

Of course with Lebron love is in the shadows.  I think Love belongs on the Clippers alongside Deandre Jordan.  The Clippers should trade Griffin for Love and depth.  They could get both out of Griffin in a three way deal.

Good trade idea as far as balance, except maybe New Orleans..they'd need some compensation unless Gordon's contract is longer than I thought (thought is was expiring this year).

Kevin Love & Olynyk would be considered the Achilles heels of our team in terms of defense. I thought about replacing Sully with Olynyk in the proposal. N.O would probably want K.O more since he's under contract for another year and has shown he is capable of scoring in bunches. The reason I didn't offer Olynyk was for the simple fact that both Anderson & Sully are on expiring contracts.

Not sure if the trade makes us better or worse in the short term but I don't think Ainge should hesistate to pull the trigger for the sake of one or two extra wins this season.

Think big picture...we could go into the offseason w/ IT4, Smart, Crowder, Love...

Then:

1) Try and add a legit center (Horford?).

2) Add another wing like Jaylen Brown w/ the Brooklyn pick

1) Sully definitely seems to be the better defender and space eater. However, if you put Love in a defensive system like ours, he may thrive more so than in CLE.

2) I'm not implying Bradley or Love is the better 3pt shooter. Gordon would be Bradley's replacement in terms of 3 point shooting and scoring. Love>Sully.

3) Both Lee & Gordon are on expiring contracts. Gordon is producing more offensively so if anything I'd be willing to compensate N.O w/ a 2nd round pick for the swap. If Gordon isn't in the Celtics long term plans, we could simply let him expire and give one of the young guys a chance (could also draft another wing)
