Smart definitely shows flashes. I wonder if he'll ever really be a consistent player, though. He was streaky in college, too. His shot mechanics aren't exactly the best.Maybe what he needs to find that consistency is (a) to stay healthy long enough to be a consistent part of the rotation for a while and (b) for Stevens to install a few simple plays in the offense that gets him shots he can hit in the same spots with some regularity -- similar to what Bradley's done in the offense. They've been doing that a little bit with post-ups inside, but I don't think posting up guards is the best way for Marcus to develop an offensive rhythm.I'm not sure Smart is ever gonna be the kind of offensive player who can just handle the ball and make stuff happen on his own, except in spurts here and there. But I think he should be able to develop into a decent offensive roleplayer if the team sets him up well.
