I think we should seriously look at trading KO for Ryan Anderson.  We have another knock down shooter outside of Bradley and Isaiah we are 3rd in the east and can go strong in the draft after a star player to complete this thing.

I think this team is legitamently 2 players away like that.

No. Worthless trade. This team is not even close to ready for deals where we give up core you guys for role player vets on expiring deals.

Why would you trade a player with 1 more year on a rookie contract for a player who will be an unrestricted free agent this summer?  To even make the trade you would have to add Jerebko or multiple other players to match his 8.5million salary.  Not to mention the only thing Anderson is better at than K.O. is FT shooting, everything else K.O. is either equal to or way better at already.  You would downgrade a lot defensively and his passing and ball handling is just not on the same planet.

what if we could get ryan anderson for lee and turner and not resign him and keep KO?
Lee and Turner's salaries total almost 19million.  Anderson is 8.5million.  They would have to send a mid level salary or multiple players back to match salaries close enough to work.  If the C's wanted him they could trade something like jerebko's 5million and young for him but nothing makes much sense.

I hear you.  I'm just throwing this stuff out there. I'm not even saying I would do it but I think it should be considered. If i were to trade Kelly for him I would definately extend him though. I wouldnt trade a guy like Kelly for Anderson unless Anderson was a fit long term.  That's in question and I get that. I'm souring on it  but it's not a bad thing to consider. If it's more for Turner or a guy like Lee and to make a playoff run I wouldn't be so fast to extend him.  I think ultimately Ainge is going to find something that's a better fit and a better fit long term.

But Ryan Anderson is the difference between us being where we are and the 3rd seed in ways. But I get just letting Kelly take his shots and miss and our young guys. I get that.  I like Kelly. I'm not totally sold on him but I'm not sure i'd deal him.. Anderson is better imo right now.  Kelly's upside is somewhat in question. He has the ability to be a more efficient well rounded Anderson, but he needs to knock down shots.
