And either does not cheering for your team. this camp wiki wiki girl scout crowd was pitiful. the first time there was a chant of "defense" was with about a minute and a half left in the 3rd quarter. granted, there wasn't much to cheer about but come on, it sounded like this group was just too tired from chanting Kobe's name the other night???
Getting back to the game, something is wrong out there. all of a sudden this just ain't the same team anymore. we all know about Brad Steven's temperament but wouldn't you all just love to see Brad really freak out just once and rip into say someone like Evan Turner for taking those threes he has no business taking or how about screaming at Kelly Olynyk for stepping out of bounds on the sideline for about the eighty fifth time this year or maybe just blow up at the whole team for the stupid lackadaisical turnovers that lose half the games these guys play!!!
please excuse this rant until Monday night in Brooklyn part 2!!!

Ill add the game thread was pretty disappointing today. I have to imagine I was as frustrated as anyone with the outcome, but it broke down to people saying we should tank mid game, how good the nets are etc mid stream. Was frustrating to see in a place you expect to be filled with celtics fans.

The reason I said, "something is wrong out there. all of a sudden this just ain't the same team anymore" is because, being Boston, how could you not get up for the Nets game considering the possible ramifications. the way they played points to internal problems.  I'm guessing these guys are tired of hearing how good they are as a group and are smart enough to know they're not all going to be around for much longer and it might be their way of telling Ainge to pull the trigger sooner than later. I'm pretty sure that DA's "like"  percentage will drop considerably if he doesn't make  some serious moves in the very near future.

I think this happened last year when they were getting close to the traded deadline. DA really needs to make some moves this year or over the summer and bring in guys who will be hear for the future.

Smart showed up, he was what got them back in the game, I don't care what people say about his shooting ability, kid makes things happen when the need to.

Thomas was good, but made some costly turnovers, which is why he's a backup guard and not a starter.

KO got beat to a long rebound in the 3rd and never saw the light of day again, not sure why, that happens, bench him for 5 and bring him back out, he was one of the few hitting shots.

Turner played well, but ball sticks too much for him to be out there long periods, and he doesn't trust some of the teamates it seems like. Smart and Young were open a could times and he passed it to IT who was guarded heavily and couldn't do anything with it.

I don't know who's available, I'm hoping Parker or Barnes is, get younger develop add draft pieces, let Stevens teach guys who can still can be taught.

there is no mystery with this team. if they're shots don't fall early, they don't play D and become soft on both ends. this game was the same game as the lakers game.

we could really use a star...IT is not that person.

The Celtics are a team that have to play way too hard to have a chance at winning. For this team to have a chance they have to play like it's the 7th. game of a series every night. It's just not possible to keep this type of intensity up game after game after game.

This team has two good traits, real active, solid perimeter defense, and heart... they never give up.

Marcus Smart plays hard and he needs to be given the keys. I love when he posts up. Make Marcus the focal point on offense and his playing style will infect the rest of the team.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

That's what kills me about this team. Every single digit win team looks at us like they can beat us. We have to pull out tricks and overcome deficits at the end of the game just to eek out wins against teams like PHI and BKN not to mention losing to a 5-27 Lakers.

I love this team but thinking as a GM do we really want to go through 2 more years of mediocrity when the next 2 years are the most important for us in the long run?  I don't want to trade IT because I think he's got the x factor but we def need to unload some our supporting cast. I suggest Amir Johnson(if he keeps shooting threes), Kelly Olynyk, Evan Turner, and possibly Rozier or even Smart. Smart is the only one who I'd be upset about but if we can get a big that we can bank on its worth it. And it gives us room to get Dunn, Murray, Trimble, Briscoe or Baldwin.

I'm not suggesting we totally blow it up but the only untouchables to me are Crowder, IT and possibly Smart. We need more playmakers, shooters and a rim protector and until we get those we have no shot at a championship. And that's all we're here for. I would never suggest tanking but I was as upset as Danny that we went on such a tear at the end of last season.

actually, getting rid of about a third of the roster (lee is gone too) would pretty much be blowing up a team.  :P
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

The answer is staring Danny dead in the face. the players are tired of being "pretty good"  they know with a couple of good moves they could be great and the guys that are traded are good enough to play with other teams and carve out their own careers.
Everybody says what great fans Boston has and that might have been so going back in time but these coach potatoes that I've seen on TV at the games don't know when to cheer to help the C's. they don't seem to be there when Boston is down 10, only when the boys in green are putting on a show!!!
