scenario 1 - some fans want a trade or two happen. We have the salaries, picks to get a very good player or two back in return. The issue is , right now there is not much noise. No big names available.
scenario 2 - We keep the current roster as it is, as no good players are available via trade or a trade does not workout. Make the playoffs and hopefully get past the 1st round. But even winning 1 playoff game would have this young team going in the right direction.

If none of those guys are bought back, we will still have several picks to use (hopefully can package for some higher picks) and 2016 FA class is solid.
Does #2 seem like a solid backup plan? Or would you rather want #1 to happen?
