Hi I just wanted to get a few opinions. I ordered a very nice Celtics shootaround shirt for my brother in-law who we were travelling to see on Christmas day. On the website it said guaranteed delivery by Christmas. It has not been delivered yet. I felt really awkward, but I printed up a picture and promised to mail it to him when it came in. Have many of you experienced this, this year? I am trying to understand, and not be a scrooge

This time of the year mailings always get delayed. When did you order it? I guess you should be able to get some sort of recompense based that someone failed on a promise. Secondly, if it's a next day shipping and it wasn't delivered, USPS I think refunds you the money.

So, give those things a look. But if there's one certainty in life is that shipping in December will always be delayed despite the good intentions.

Yep.

I ordered an item from best buy and was told it would ship overnight. The next day they told me it was back ordered the day before but nobody told me until I called them. They then said don't worry they found it from another warehouse and were still sending Christmas eve. Didn't hear back, so I called them around 1pm. The guy apologized and said let me check and promised to call back in 2 hours. Never heard back from them.

Around 4pm I looked online and saw a store selling the item which was sold out evrtywhere. Got lucky and grabbed it at the store.

So now I called Best buy to cancel the original order. They tell me it's scheduled to ship the 20th of January and they can't cancel the order even though it hasn't been shipped because it's in a pending status. They then asked me to call them back after I get an automated text saying its been shipped, and at that point the can cancel it. I couldn't get a logical answer to why they can only cancel an order after its been shipped or why over night shipping takes 25 nights.
