Why the jazz do it
If they can resign sullienger they get paid the price of demarcus cousins for derrick favors. The jazz have been mediocre for a while now with three stars. They have been rumored to be willing to trade derrick favors. They get a good young pg in smart and young pf who would play well with goobers and help stretch the floor plus a pick.

Why the celtics

Our young guys get playing time
we get to see rj and rozier play. Our starting lineup gets even better. we keep our brooklyn pick  and still have a lot of money for free agency with two all-stars (thomas and favors)

I like Favors a lot but that's an overpayment. 

Also, I could care less about getting Hunter and Rozier playing time -- let them earn it.  It's not a selling point for this trade.
