Let's think about this idea:

There are many trade rumors that Demarcus Cousins could be dealt to the Boston Celtics in exchange for David Lee and the Brooklyn Nets first round pick this year. If that's possible (maybe with another pick for SAC) - the first step (a star player and I love cousins) is made.


The next step - bring in Russel Westbrook:
For me he is (after Kobe retired) the ultimate warrior an competitor in the NBA.
And it's no secret that this dude can ball!
Westbrook and Durant in OKC has no future - I think Westbrook wants to be the leader of a franchise - with Durant in OKC that's not possible. Cousins I think is ok to be the #2 guy behind Russel.
What can we offer OKC:
Marcus Smart (talented/young/good salary), Evan Turner (good bench/role player), Tyler Zeller (nice backup for Kanter), Terry Rozier (first rounder last year) and give them first future round picks.

I'd do it. I just think OKC would not. But who knows. Maybe it won't work out in OKC at somepoint and they will make a move. I'd love to get either guy. I'd love to get anyone who could get us 20 every single night.

As an OKC native,
I can tell you that that city (its fans) would rather invest in Westbrook than KD. So I don't believe this trade appeals to them.
