According to NBA Rank:
1. King James
2. Anthony Davis
3. Kevin Durant
4. Steph Curry
5. James Harden
6. Chris Paul
7. Russ West
8. Kawhi Leonard
9. Blake Griffin
10. Marc Gasol

Should this have looked something more like......
1. Steph Curry (4)
2. King James (1)
3. Russ West (7)
4. Kevin Durant (3)
5. Anthony Davis (2)
6. James Harden (5)
7. Kawhi Leonard (8)
8. Paul George (26)
9. Draymond Green (19)
10. Chris Paul (6)

I hate putting D Green in the top 10, but Boogie is shooting 42% which is deplorable for a center, and when you are 25-1 it's not like it is ridiculous to suggest you have 2 top 10 players.  Maybe I should have Blake in there?  I know CP3 has gotten off to somewhat of a rough start as well, but he has been playing banged up, and I fully expect him to get back to his elite level of play soon.  So full disclosure, 9 and 10 were tough decisions that I am not 100% confident in.  Thoughts?

Harden has been nothing but a volume scorer this year.

Yes, his FG % is down, but he is also giving them 6 boards, and 7 assists per game, and is 12th in the league in real plus-minus.  Much better defensively than in previous years.

Harden has been nothing but a volume scorer this year.

I mean, 6 rebounds, almost 7 assists, 2 steals, 11 free throws a game, all at guard ... little bit more than a volume scorer.

He's bounced back after a rough start to the season.  It's like with Westbrook -- you might not prefer to have your offense centered around a guy like that, but you can't deny he makes a huge impact, at least on offense.

He's been nothing but a volume scorer, passer and rebounder. What a bum.

Lol good response. I can't disagree honestly.

Lot of great comebacks this year. Kevin Durant is leading the league in points scored out of Iso situations, Anthony Davis weathered the early season slump and now looks like he can go off on any given night again, and Paul George clearly used his time away with injury to work on improving aspects of his game that might have needed some tightening up.

Kawhi looks like he's taken the next step into elite territory as well. Who knows how good he is would have been if he was drafted by someone like Sacramento but you can't argue that today's Kawhi belongs in the top 10.

People are getting a bit too carried away with Green. He's not a top 10 player, period.

Based solely on how players have played so far, not projecting forward, at the very least these guys are more deserving:

Blake Griffin
Eric Bledsoe
Damian Lillard
Isaiah Thomas
Karl-Anthony Towns
Jimmy Butler
Andre Drummond
Dirk Nowitzki
Derrick Favors

And plenty plenty more, was jumping around players that came to mind quickly without giving it too much thought.

Green has been very good, but he's a glorified role-player who's playing his role so well that it's putting him in the conversation with other all-star type of players and that's all, but let's not get carried away.

I would be curious as to what the Celtics record has been over the past 2 years vs the teams of those with top 10 stars on them. If I had more spare time, I would get the data myself.
