I've always liked Gorgui Dieng. He's a good defender and an efficient scorer. Plus he's still pretty young (25) and has good size.

He's kind of getting squeezed out right now in Minnesota. Along with Karl-Anthony Towns, they're starting Garnett (presumably to give Towns a role model), and this guy Bjelica is taking a lot of his minutes from the bench. If he's not seeing minutes there, I think he's a guy who would fit in nicely as a rim protector next to some of our shorter bigs.

He's been squeezed out as he's been playing terrible defense, and therefore, is unable to contribute anything.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

If he didn't pass the KG Test I don't want him.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
Would love to have Dieng - he is a legit center who fills up the stat sheet. Last year a lot of us were pining for the guy so I am surprised to see some of the responses so far. He is playing very little with Towns (like 1 mpg) so I would say he is not a fixture in the Wolves future...and what would it really take to get him. The longer he stays on the team, the lower his value. We would be lucky to get a guy like Dieng on our team.
