As far as opening night goes I don't think we could have picked a better outcome than what transpired.

The Celtics beat the 76ers 112-95 to go to 1-0, seemed a little bit stagnant at the beginning but eventually got things rolling and looked pretty good in my opinion.

Brooklyn opens the season with 115-100 loss to Chicago. Really only kept things close when they made a surge in the 2nd quarter and they only did that by force feeding the ball to Brook Lopez. This pick could easily be Top 5 in the lottery and they should get ripped apart by San Antonio on Friday.

Minnesota was down 15 at one point and surged back to beat the Lakers 112-111. In order for us to get their first round pick they pretty much have to make the playoffs so the fact that they showed that even though they were down 15 they weren't going to quit is pretty encouraging. Seems like the death of Flip Saunders has really motivated these guys and I'm interested to see if the young guys can quickly develop into a playoff team. Minnesota plays Denver on Friday night and even though Denver looked good in their win over Houston I still think Minnesota can win that game and maybe get a little confidence at 2-0

And

Not such a great night to be a Lakers fan .  Loss to T Wolves.

The Lakers forum game thread was great reading .  Comical

The hate for Scott is amazing ,  already calling for his head .....a Laker hero too!

Kobe bricking threes ,  Oakfor tearing it up in Boston ,  Russell. 4 points 2 assist .....no Phil Jackson to save the day.

And funniest part was the multitude of  " Bass is TURRible !"  Comments ....get him out !  LOL..... ;D

Knicks also had a pretty dominant and impressive win over Milwaukee so maybe there's one less time competing with Brooklyn for worst record in the league  ;)
