I agree with the OP.  Great game by Marcus (I was in my car so only listened on the radio).

I don't understand the prevalence of the "yeah but" responses.  Yeah he had a great game but Randle is better.  Yeah he was impressive but I want to see him create more.  Yeah he ..... but he should have ......

Marcus is showing the ability to impact the game beyond stats, even while really still being a pretty mediocre shooter.  If he ever develops a 3pt shot like Billups did, or in general improves his overall shooting "touch", he will absolutely be an all star caliber player and will have the ability to control games in a way that only elite players can (through statistical and non-statistical contributions).

I have not seen Randle play even one NBA game yet so I don't know how good he is or could be.  Putting up 22 & 14 or whatever is was is pretty good.  It is possible the Smart and Randle may be hanging together at an All-Star game in the future.  Good for them both.

My yeah but is just that I want to see him do the good things he did last night more often.

The way he used a post up to get in the paint and create shouldn't be something he does every now and then, it should be what he does all the time.

Liked seeing the aggressiveness out of him on both ends.

LarBrd33 complemented Smart in a non-snarky/backhanded way!

He played really well.  Almost as good as Julius Randle tonight.

lol zing.

Look at our sophomore bringing everyone together.

Love that funny actor guy...Jonah Galifirogencera, right?

As for Smart, never mind attacking the basket (though I'm all for it), but [dang], he attacked the freakin' floor to feed JC on that one play. Season-long Tommy Point, indeed....
