the staff and coaching  and weight training-between now and pre season these young kids can use the celts program to increase agilty, lateral ,build core and watch film-mickey,rj and holmes can apply themselves with everything that the celts program has to offer-
they have to eat ,live and sleep basketball amazing things can happen to these boys at this level
they were chosen for their work ethic-i would camp out in the celtics gym and weight room look at kobe, carl malone ,bird,havilchek-my coach used to say while your sleeping somebody out there is practicing and getting better-young has got to feel the heat from rj
-rj will not sleep he will be in the gym or watching film or practice his weakness or add new techniques-he told his dad after being upset at where he got picked, he would make all rookie team and went to gym to shoot-maybe he will--so i have a bit of poetic license
i was going to move into rollie massimino's house for my senior season when my parents were supposed to move-they didn't ,i always wished they had
- i remember running the dunes at cranes beach ouside boston with ankle weights and a weight vest, running the football stands and playing in mid day summer heat the hotter the better and basketball late a night under the lights-going anywhere to find talented players---sorry for the transgression but i think on this board i'm the only person to score on  bob cousy twice and i was only 17 and he was 30-
i recently had a bi-laterel pulmanry embolism and deep vein thrombosis, then a mini stroke a couple weeks ago but to this day i here a ball bounce and i want to compete my passion for this sport never left me and the boston celtics embodied the way i was taught by rollie to play-so forgive my zeal-

They will, I am sure. When you get a new job which is a big promotion, you have to do what management recommends or you risk losing your job.

TP, that might sadly be the case here.

I haven't been this excited for a Summer League for a while...

all the rookies we picked were solid this summer league...now I know we shouldn't get too happy over a summer league but at least it makes me optimistic.

Hunter has been great as a shooter. I like what I see from his thus far. Rozier has been nice, the last game where he scored 9 straight was awesome. Mickey and Holmes has been solid as well.

I like the improvements I've seen from Smart but it sucks seeing him go down like that...he should be ready for training camp

James was kinda disappointing in my opinion. I did see him get slightly bigger for this summer league but offensively and defensively, I didn't see much. He's young, and at 19 (or 20), he's still very raw...He needs to play with a sense of urgency that Rozier, or even Hunter will steal his 3rd string spot very very soon if he doesn't improve.

I don't know about our season going forward,  but we're young, I like to see how our players fare in a year or two.

Rozier and Smart has that killer/hard working mentality that I love...It'll be a nice backcourt for the future if they hold up to their potential

I hope I never see CJ Fair on a basketball court again, unless it is in an opponent's uniform.

I agree. It's also the first time I got excited with summer league. We saw a lot of nice stuffs there.
James Young finally loosen up a little bit and produce a decent game with good stats.
Keep the mind very hopeful for the future.
I'm also very excited for the season to start. This year is very important for Sully and KO. They have the first 3 months to show us what they got. I think one of them (if not both) might be moved by the trade deadline.

I thought it interesting that KJ McDaniels' new contract with Houston turned out not to be the rumored $5M/year, but $10M over three years. I believe he was a RFA in signing this, so does that mean he'll be an UFA at the end of the three years? Still, it's not as rich a deal as might have been expected, given his strategy.

I see Mickey as gamble , but no worse than Whiteside ......he seems that his attitude is correct .....better person than Whiteside and smarter .

We should sign him ......we won't be able sign Whitside anywhere as close.
