Plenty of heart just not enough size and skill. Amazing that he made it this far/long. Farewell Pressey go kill it overseas.

So true - it really is impressive that a 5'10" guy who can't score has been able to hold a somewhat rotation spot on an NBA team.

Speaks volumes about the type of competitor Pressey is.

Always have liked him - always felt that when he stepped on the court, he really did a great job of using his quickness and ball handling to control the tempo of the game.  Probably the closest thing (bar Rondo) that we have had to a proper PG since the start of the Big 3 Era.  We really never had another lightning quick guard who could pass and handle the ball and really push the tempo that.

Sadly, with the addition of Isaiah Thomas, Terry Rozier, Marcus Thornton and even (to an extent) Evan Turner...Pressey no longer offers that unique dimension, and so he's now become a little redundant.

I don't envy the position of guys like Danny Ainge and Brad Stevens - to be in the position where you have an obligation (to the business) to make the best call for the team, even if it means moving great locker room guys who you consider friends, wouldn't be an easy thing.  \

It's like being the manager of a business and having to fire a guy you're friends with, who you know has three kids and is struggling to make house payments...has got to be one of the hardest things to do.
